Jolocom Types

Here we describe how you can define a Jolocom credential type. Jolocom credential types are used for the Jolocom wallet.

Define Jolocom Type

To define the Jolocom type, perform the following steps:

1. Provide a user-friendly name for the new Jolocom credential type. This name has to be new, such that there is only one unique credential of this type.
2. Name the identifier for the new Jolocom credential type.
3. Provide the claim interface for the new Jolocom credential type. Here you provide an 'example' of your credential payload, with empty strings, 0 for numbers, and false for booleans
4. Provide the context for the new Jolocom credential type. This is used to define what the format should be of the credential, so for example, what an email address should look like to be a valid email address. However, this can also be left blank.
5. Click "Submit".
